Jack Zelinka, Esquire
Attorney Zelinka received his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton and earned his Jurist Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in May 2000. During law school, Jack was accepted into the U.S. Navy JAG Corps and was commissioned as an Ensign in 1998. After graduating law school, he began serving on active duty as a prosecutor in the JAG Corps. During this time, he prosecuted over 100 courts-martial. Additionally, while serving as a Navy prosecutor, Attorney Zelinka served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia prosecuting misdemeanors and felonies occurring on federal military installations.
Upon his completion of active duty, Jack joined the law firm of Rosenn, Jenkins & Greenwald, L.L.P. in October 2003. He is a litigation attorney and has handled a variety of litigation matters in his seven plus years of civilian practice. These matters include the following areas of law: construction, contract, workers’ compensation, employment, municipal, education, real estate, and commercial and business litigation. Although still handling a wide variety of legal matters, recently, Jack’s practice has begun to focus in the areas of real estate and construction litigation. He has handled many types of actions including eminent domain, title and deed issues, landlord-tenant disputes, tax sales, partition, boundary disputes, easement issues, and adverse possession claims. In construction litigation, Jack represents owners, general contractors, and subcontractors on a large variety of construction projects for private and public bodies.
Additionally, Attorney Zelinka has remained with the U.S. Navy Reserves where he is currently a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps reserves.
